First take 1972 Italian OM truck converted to be used as a mobile blood transfusion collection vehicle.


Then strip out the interior so you can get a vintage car in it...

Then spend a lot of time converting it so you can live in it while viruses rage through Europe.

Set off on a wet morning from blustery Buckinghamshire and drive to Folkestone and get on a shuttle to a very wet Pas de Calais:

After a few hundred km stop beside a canal and open a bottle:


While Ms Horton sends an email...

Quite an epistle. I would never doubt Pither's ability to mend anything. Presumably you had to find a bottle of Vodka for the garage? Pity not to get into Aushwitz. We visited Dachau in Feb this year and a few years ago Birkenau. These are sobering experiences. Dachau is a shadow of Aushwitz but still pretty grim.


Strange I though Poland would be more lively than you describe

Bloody hot in Blighty. 30 degrees here in Warwickshire. Any virus surviving this is tougher than me. My 2 home based children seem to be under the weather and lying around complaining but no temperature. The older one however always miraculously recovers at beer-o-clock. Present Mrs Wade not sleeping - too hot. I twas sold a dud. I thought the Chinese were built to withstand heat but she explains she is royalty, (her grandmother had bound feet) and she needs a coolie to fan her and bring her drinks. Her skin is too soft and fragile to be exposed to the sun, hence no possibility of helping in the garden. Not averse to instructing the white people. as in "wh…
